Palinopsia - seeing again is a Laser Projection at a Glow-in-the-Dark surface The premiere of this artvideo project was at the Alight festival on 1 September 2016.
Jurgen Meekel initiated this project and built it in collaboration with BushveldLabs engineers, Johannesburg
Projecting laser onto a glow in the dark surfaces, like this, the screen (projected surface) effectively records the light areas in the image, whereafter it will remain visible for an amount of time and leaves a trace. After this one can re-project or project over the image to create a visual layering.
The relationship of temporality and mark positions glow-in-the-dark projection in between cinema and photography.
