Various projects are organized in Scheveningen within the framework of Feest aan zee. The Plunge (Liefdeskuren) is one of them.
The Plunge is an audio story about (cures to) the sea, love, music and life. Based on a historical fact: the German composer Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy who stayed in Scheveningen in 1836 to cure.
Director is Ingrid van Frankenhuyzen.

Exactly 200 years ago Jacobus Pronk built the first bathhouse on Scheveningen, a small wooden house with four baths with seawater. This was the first seaside resort in the Netherlands. The whole city celebrates with festivals, exhibitions and performances A tip of the veil. The Volvo Ocean Race is coming to The Hague and during the World Championship Sand Sculpting there will be 11 large sand works on the Lange Voorhout.
