About 100 years after the founding of the association Hofwijck and on the occasion of the opening of the ‘new Hofwijck’ a comprehensive book about Hofwijck and its history has been published.
The 240-page book is published in a deluxe version. A large part of the book tells the story of the lives of Constantine Huygens and his son Christian Huygens.
New facts have come to light that indicated that Christian Huygens was responsible for the additions to the buildings of Hofwijck, including the exact location of the residence of Spinoza, in Voorburg, a contemporary and fellow villager.
De writers are Kees van der Leer en Henk Boers

The last part of the book shows the salvation of Hofwijck by the association and restorations of home and garden.
